Travelers bound together on a journey of faith…this is our definition of religious tourism. Faith-based travel offers profound opportunities to learn about particular traditions and their history. But there’s more to it than that. By walking in the footsteps of Jesus, Moses, Luther, Wesley, or the Saints, spiritual lives are touched and deepened. And sharing the road with fellow “pilgrims” creates unique bonds of friendship that last a lifetime.Sample itinerary – Israel’s Sacred Stories Sample itinerary – Pathways of Jesus Sample itinerary – Lutherland Sample itinerary – Life and legacy of John Wesley
We pay close attention to variety when developing intergenerational travel. Our family-oriented destinations of Costa Rica and Puerto Rico offer an abundant array of fun activities, sunny beaches, and learning situations. Placing families in new settings creates opportunities to learn and grow together in unique ways. A tour becomes the family adventure of a lifetime. Don’t try this at home…it’s not possible!
Pre- and post-cruise land arrangements in fascinating port-of-call. Our Inland Passages are 2- to 4-day tours that provide passengers the opportunity to explore in depth the initial or final cities/regions on their itinerary. These mini-tours nicely round out the on-board experiences of a cruise.
Arrangements for our student tours begin with this question: How can we assist teachers/group leaders in meeting their educational goals while having fun along the way? Having ourselves been teachers in bi-cultural settings, we can offer knowledgeable assistance in all aspects of tour preparation: itinerary and activities, type of accommodations, support materials, and safety issues. We can also arrange language classes and family stays in many of our destinations.
A new and younger generation of travelers is creating an opportunity to rethink and redevelop group tours. Less structure, more flexibility, and greater choice of activities are key concepts around which Open Passages are designed. After a locally guided orientation tour at each destination, tour participants are provided with information to guide them as they pursue individual interests. Tour managers also serve to advise and assist tour participants in planning and carrying out their personal activities.
Shared interests draw people together in meaningful ways. Special Passages are tours designed with a particular interest or theme in mind. Crafters, cooks, wine connoceurs, beer aficionados, gardeners, agriculturalists, art and music lovers…for every interest there are countless ways to construct an exciting itinerary. Your choir, band, or orchestra can share their love of music in concert on a performance tour. We can bring travelers into contact with experts who share their passion and enhance their skills. We can also assist in arranging “purpose-driven passages.” These are mission groups and opportunities to engage in “voluntourism.”Sample itinerary – Blossoms of Belgium and the Netherlands Sample itinerary – Dancing through Spain Brochure & Registration Form – History, Beer and the Art of Brewing Flyer – History, Beer and the Art of Brewing Poster – History, Beer and the Art of Brewing
This is our broadest category. The tours found here might be labeled “general sightseeing” due to their appeal to travelers with a broad range of interests. But don’t take this to mean the itineraries are “watered down.” The activities included in these tours are intentionally chosen to provide participants with engaging opportunities to learn, experience, and explore.Sample itinerary – Wonders of Costa Rica Sample itinerary – A Russian Mosaic Sample itinerary – Classical Spain
